Smile Stylist

Drs. Jason and Colleen attended the HEAL 2008 Valley of Dreams Galla at the TPC Sawgrass on June 28th and 29th. HEAL, is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 by Bobby and Leslie Weed in collaboration with local pediatrician Julie Buckley, MD, all parents of children with autism. Together, they recognized a need in the community to assist the families of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, a condition that now affects one in 150 children.

The Up and Cummer, Fashion Forward event, is a fashion show featuring local fashion designer, Erin Healy and the freshest trends from Jacksonville’s hottest boutiques. Last year, Smile Stylist models walked in the show, displaying their beautiful and fashion forward smiles. Video from the show was edited to highlight the Smile Stylist models and has become the hottest fashion video to hit Jacksonville. Get ready for the Smile Stylist models to hit the runway once again on September 26th 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. Whitney, our Smile Stylist model from Atlantic Beach, Florida, was named the winner ofAMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

As the winner of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, Whitney will be managed by Elite Model Management. She also receives a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl. Finally, Whitney will appear on the cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine.

Contrary to some commentary on other blogs, we did Whitney’s porcelain veneers a few years before she won Americas Next Top Model.  That beautiful smile we designed in 2006, sure didn’t hurt her chances to win! The smile was created by the Smile Stylists using 10 porcelain veneers made by one of the most talented dental ceramists in the world.  If you like her smile, you will be glad to know that the same ceramist who made Whitney’s porcelain veneers will make your new smile too.

The June issue of Self Magazine published an article on cosmetic dentistry featuring Dr. Jason Olitsky. The article discuses making porcelain veneers look natural and using lasers to do gum lifting treatments. Smile Stylists, Dr. Colleen Olitsky and Dr. Jason Olitsky, flew up to New York and met with the beauty editors of several magazines, including Vogue, Allure, Self, More, and Teen Vogue, to share the latest trends in cosmetic dentistry. We will keep you updated on future publications featuring the Smile Stylists.

Congratulations are in order to the smile stylist Drs. Jason and Colleen Olitsky for the birth of the health baby boy on Mother’s Day. Chase Thaddeus Olitsky was born 8 lbs and 21 inches and doing great.
